Cardinal O'Brien exhorts Christians to wear crosses :: Catholic News Agency (CNA)
Ah, a good Scottish lad!

These are the reflections of a Secular Franciscan. I look not only at my own spiritual journey, but also at issues of life, economic and social justice, morality, the arts, and more through the lens of Franciscan Spirituality.

Lent is spent
Holy Thursday. We've come to the end of Lent, and now embark on the Triduum.
It has not been a good Lent for me.
I had a few spiritual things I wanted to do. I managed to stick to some of them (one barely), but failed in the rest.
So I come to the end of Lent feeling I've fallen short.
I even went to confession just the other day, and found myself today in a conversation slipping again on one of the things I confessed.
The Divine Mercy Novena begins tomorrow. I'll do that for the good of my soul and to make up for some of the things I felt short on this Lent.
And some of the things I fell short on, I can still do them - they are not linked to Lent.
