That Handmaid

At our May 25 Stand Out for Life, a woman dressed in a version of The Handmaid'sTale costume came to be a counter protester (there were four pro-choicers counter-protesting, while there were more than 120 pro-lifers praying and singing outside Planned Parenthood).

It struck me that it was fitting that one of the symbols of the pro-choicers now is a fictional character from an anti-Christian novel. After all, Planned Parenthood and the pro-choice movement rely on fiction to deceive women and the culture, and pro-choicers often spout anti-Christian slogans and arguments.

As for this woman, she kept trying to argue and agitate, but she seemed like a sad, hurting individual. I said a prayer for her.

(In a side note: Notice - despite attempts by media and pro-choice leaders to label pro-lifers as violent, these ladies felt comfortable to mingle with - and even debate with - a large crowd of pro-lifers. They were not harrassed, called names, sworn at, etc.)

Pax et bonum
