Gandhi's Seven Deadly Social Sins

Wealth without work.
Pleasure without conscience.
Knowledge without character.
Commerce without morality.
Science without humanity.
Religion without sacrifice.
Politics without principle.

- Mohandas Gandhi

Should he be considered an honorary Franciscan?

I do not understand why "Wealth without work" is a deadly social sin.

Because it has not been earned.

I believe that wealth without work is likely to separate us from relationships, isolate us in comfort. We forget the gift of compassion, and death comes slowly, as the frog in the gradually heated saucepan. Punishment does not come from outside of us, but from within. (Mk 7:21-23?) Pax et Bonum!
