Stand Out for Life, May 2019

We held the latest Stand Our for Life today. I stopped counting at 120 participants - though someone else estimated by the end 150-200 people took part.

There were even four counter-protesters, one of whom dressed in a version of The Handmaid's Tale character so popular among the pro-choicers these days (a fictional character from an anti-Christian novel that seems appropriate). They tried to get people arguing and to offer some pro-choice chants, but they got lost in the praying, preaching, and hymn singing by the pro-lifers.

Father Tony Mugavero led us in a rosary.

Pastor Tim Lindsay summed up why pro-choicers have gotten so incensed lately, beginning with the Kavanaugh hearings. The are upset that pro-lifers seem to be winning.

Ayesha Kruetz  offered words of greeting and encouragement.

The local media, which covered a smaller pro-choice event earlier in the week, was, of course, not there.

Pax et bonum
