I've been working on a Halloween song, "Midnight in the Graveyard." It might get some more tweaking, but here's what I have so far ...
Midnight in the graveyard
on a spooky Halloween night.
The ghosts and ghouls and goblins
are dancing in the pale moonlight.
Frankenstein and the Wolfman
are doing a do-si-do.
Wolf lets out a mighty howl
when Frank steps on his toes.
Dracula and the Mummy
dance the Transylvania Trot.
They say the invisible man is there,
then again, maybe he's not.
The skeletons have formed a band
with the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
The bones clack out the rhythm
while the Creature croaks the tune.
The witches are at their cauldron
stirring a potent brew.
Doctor Jeckyll takes a sip
now Hyde's appearing too.
Godzilla's at the grill
keeping the fire bright.
King Kong drags in trees
to fuel it through the night.
When the sun begins to rise
they all will disappear.
If you missed the fun this time,
they'll all be back next year.
